Choose a little adventure.

Our original browser games turn an idea into something you can change. Start with a familiar skill, or explore a new kind of puzzle.

MONEY & EVERYDAY MATH

Pocket Money ↗

Move coins and bills to make an amount. Explore how different combinations can have the same value, with guidance when an answer needs another try.

Practice: coin values, counting money

ADDITION & SUBTRACTION

Frog Hop ↗

Help a tiny frog cross the pond. Moving along a number line makes adding and taking away visible, one jump at a time.

Practice: number lines, sums, differences

EQUAL GROUPS

Robot Garden ↗

Plant a garden with a robot pal. Arrange equal rows and discover why counting groups helps you find a total.

Practice: arrays, multiplication

FRACTIONS & FAIR SHARES

Pizza Picnic ↗

Make sharing into a puzzle. Work with parts of a whole and see how equal pieces fit together.

Practice: fractions, equal sharing

PLACE VALUE

Number Train ↗

Load blocks into the wagons. Trade ten little blocks for a bigger one to explore what each digit in a number means.

Practice: ones, tens, hundreds, regrouping

HOURS & MINUTES

Clock Club ↗

Set the time for a woodland party. Move the hands and connect the clock face with written times.

Practice: analog clocks, telling time

GEOMETRY

Shape Detective ↗

Follow clues about sides and corners. Find shapes by their properties, even when their size or direction changes.

Practice: shape families, sides, vertices

GEOGRAPHY

Little Atlas ↗

Explore six European countries with names visible, then try recognizing their outlines in a quiz.

Practice: map shapes and neighboring countries

LOGIC

Café Logic ↗

Find seats for three guests using clues about left, right, neighbors and positions. Try the daily set or another practice round.

Practice: comparing clues and eliminating possibilities

PICTURE PUZZLES

Pixel Picnic ↗

Use row and column clues to reveal one of twelve small nonogram pictures. A practice row introduces filled groups and empty gaps.

Practice: counting, constraints and deduction

WORDS

Word Bloom ↗

Read a clue and arrange letter tiles to spell a word. Choose a trail with three-, four- or five-letter words.

Practice: spelling and word clues

RELAXING PLAY

Explore: counting, sequences and creative choices

FOR GROWN-UPS

A good place to try again.

The Sandbox is a collection of twelve interactive browser games created and maintained by BFC Labs. The money and six math games are designed around ages 6–9; choose the other games by reading confidence and puzzle experience. The games invite kids to experiment, get feedback, and try again. They are practice activities, not a test or a formal assessment.

Start with a concept your child already knows. Ask “How did you work that out?” and let them explain a move before making the next one. The six math games offer three skill trails each. Start Little Atlas with names visible, try Pixel Picnic’s practice row, or choose shorter Word Bloom words to find a comfortable challenge.

Play directly in a browser, with no child account required. A touch screen is great for moving objects; a mouse works too. Sound can be turned off in the games. Read the Sandbox guide for grown-ups →
